Courtney Manning is the Director of AI Imperative 2030 at The American Security Project, where she leads a team of cross-disciplinary stakeholders to investigate and debate the critical geostrategic forces driving the global AI race in the 21st century. In addition to convening and platforming AI thought leaders around the world, her work on U.S. industrial controls explores the balance between innovation and regulation in the context of artificial intelligence and other dual-use technologies.

David Wade spent two decades at the highest levels of the State Department, on Capitol Hill, and as an adviser to two national presidential campaigns. Wade was the Chief of Staff to Secretary of State John F. Kerry and the Department of State for more than two years. Wade was awarded the Department’s highest honor — the Distinguished Honor Award — when he left government service in the summer of 2015 to found GreenLight Strategies.​ As Senior Advisor for AI Imperative 2030, Wade is dedicated to positioning the U.S. as a global leader in the race for AI dominance and preserving the values of an open world.
